Overstock Detection
Carrying excess inventory is expensive and invisible. Most sellers do not calculate what their overstock actually costs per year. Profit Intelligence does.
For every overstocked SKU, you see:
- Days of cover -- how long your current stock will last at current velocity
- Annual holding cost -- the carrying cost of holding that excess inventory for a year (storage, insurance, depreciation, opportunity cost)
- Capital tied up -- the purchase cost sitting in that excess stock right now
You set the threshold for what counts as overstock: 60, 90, 180, or 365 days of cover. The footer row totals your entire overstock position so you can see the full picture.

Cash Flow Projection

- Suggested reorders -- what ReplenishRadar recommends based on current forecasts

Profit Drag KPI
One number that tells you how much your inventory is costing you beyond what you paid for it.
Profit Drag = lost revenue from stockouts + annual holding cost from overstock.
It answers a simple question: if you had perfect inventory management, how much more money would you have? The answer shows up as a single dollar figure on your Command Center.
- Period-over-period tracking -- see whether your Profit Drag is going up or down month over month

When Profit Drag goes down, your inventory decisions are getting better. When it goes up, something needs attention.

Profit Intelligence is powered by ReplenishRadar's Forecast Engine V2. After each forecast run, the system calculates lost sales estimates, holding costs, and cash flow projections automatically.
